Bio
Helen Ficalora was born in Southampton,
one of America’s most beautiful towns, and spent much of
her childhood in nearby Montauk. Growing up by the Atlantic Ocean,
she collected shells, sea glass and starfish, climbed cherry trees,
and played in fields of wild flowers. The elegance of these images
left a lasting impression on Helen that she brings to her jewelry.
Her sense of appreciation and wonder comes alive in each flower
piece.
Her affinity for colors, textures and
patterns is a gift from her mother, who nurtured a magical array
of plants and blossoms – daisies, hydrangeas, daffodils,
tulips, irises, and azaleas – around the family home.
Her parents studied art and nearly
a decade ago Helen decided to devote herself to jewelry design.
Her parents also ran the Breakers Motel in Montauk, which Helen
runs today.
Dividing her time between Montauk and Olympia on Puget Sound in
the Pacific, nature's fragile beauty continues to inspire Helen's
timeless designs.
Helen lives with her husband Bob and
sons Lennon and Marley. |
